A 'dating' holiday with a difference! On this singles holiday, meet like-minded solo-travellers in the magnificent oasis of Morocco's Drâa Valley, while at the same time helping a local community gather the annual date harvest and prepare it for market. We cannot guarantee that you will find romance, but we hope you will learn to recognise the 'perfect date' and make new friends as you enjoy being immersed into daily rural life. Our tour combines 2 ½ days community volunteering in the beautiful Drâa Valley, as well as time with other singles spent exploring the exotic city of Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains, a night in a nomad camp in the billowing dunes of the Sahara and a visit to the world-famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou.
This 8-day tour starts and finishes in the cultural melting pot of Marrakech and is only available in October/November annually during date harvest!

Day 1
|
You are met at Marrakech airport and transfer to your hotel. You will meet the guide for your tour and have a chance to ask any questions. Dinner is in a local restaurant and depending on flight arrival time, you will have opportunity to explore some of this fascinating city by night. A trip to the Place Jemma el Fna is a must! |

Day 2

Early depart from Marrakech to drive via spectacular Tizi n Tichka pass over High Atlas mountains to Ouarzazate. Visitto UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Benhaddou - a magnificent fortified village constructed out of earth and with Berber architecture. Dinner in hotel in Ouarzazate. |

Day 3
|
Drive over Anti-Atlas and down through Draa Valley. Lunch stop in Zagora within shaded gardens of a riad, then continuing to arrive in host community of M'Hamid el Ghizlane at end of Draa Valley. In the evening we meet our date grower/local host. Stay in auberge, nomad tents or simple hotel near the palm groves. |
